Stefan Baxter

Stefán Baxter is our CTO, a total tech nerd - and we mean that in the nicest possible way. Stefán simply loves software development, the more challenging the better. He is very analytical and oriented towards problem solving. Luckily, he has a great sense of humour and the ability to see things from many different angels. His passion for dance music can be a bit tiring sometimes, but we must admit he does have some good moves.

Stefán brings to Industria two decades worth of experience in front-line software development, ranging from programmes used in property and car sales to a key role in the development of the groundbreaking Zignal IPTV service management platform.

Having begun designing games as a teenager, Stefán became a full-time developer aged 18, designing a range of programmes used for some years by car and property sales companies in his native Iceland.

Having formed his own company, he then spent a further eight years designing and developing a commercial trafficking and billing system used with great success for 10 years by Iceland’s largest independent television and radio broadcaster.

During the next 10 years, he formed and managed the country’s two main internet professional services providers, before moving into the world of IPTV. For the past two years, he has managed research and development of Zignal, and was appointed as Industria CTO at the beginning of 2007.
