Industria short-listed for prestigious Cable & Satellite awards

Zignal IPTV services provisioning solution and IMS Universal broadband management platform reach final stages of C&W publication

Cable & Satellite International magazine have short-listed Industria for no less than two of the publication’s prestigious Product of the Year 2006 awards

Representing the company among the three finalists in the Best monitoring or network management solution category is its groundbreaking IMS Universal broadband management platform (www.industria.com/ims), while the highly innovative Zignal IPTV services provisioning platform (www.industria.com/zignal) joins five other companies in the competition for Best interactive TV technology or application.

A high-performance, flexible software solution specifically geared to the needs of fixed-line and mobile broadband operators. IMS Universal forms a bridge between fixed-line and mobile networks, allowing truly converged service offerings to be developed and delivered both now and in the future.

Formally launched at Cable & Satellite’s IPTV World Forum in London last march, Zignal is attracting industry attention on a global scale, and has already been adopted as the IPTV services provisioning platform of choice by several leading operators and digital service providers worldwide.

Organised by Cable & Satellite and hosted by the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC), the Cable & Satellite 2006 awards will be presented at a special ceremony on Monday, September 11 at the IBC 2006 conference and exhibition, which will be staged at the Amsterdam RAI from September 8-12.

The leading event for professionals involved in the creation, management and delivery of entertainment content, the 11-hall show is set to attract over 40,000 attendees from more than 120 different countries, with products from 800 companies, among them Industria, on display.

Brief overviews of both products will appear in the Sep/Oct edition of Cable / Satellite International, and the winners will be profiled in depth in a special supplement accompanying the Nov-Dec issue of the magazine.
