Project director Seamus Given joined Industria Ireland, from EAP Consulting, where he served as managing director. A civil engineer with over 20 years experience, Seamus brings to the company a wealth of experience in the field of fibre-optic network planning and implementation.
During his time with EAP, he served on several Irish government projects, among them the design and implementation of networks at several of the country’s major population centres, including Galway, Sligo and Limerick.
Prior to founding EAP, Seamus served as managing director and group contracts director of Ashbourne Communications and Broadband Services International, and during his career has built telecommunications networks for almost all operators in Ireland, the UK and Western Europe including Eircom, BT, Telewest, Thus, NTL, Cable & Wireless, Worlcom and Viatel.
One of Ireland’s most experienced telecommunications project managers, he has extensive experience in contract preparation and evaluation, budget preparation, supply logistics, civils and fibre network design, definition of scope of works, and council and customer liaison, as well as the oversight and implementation of the contracts he has negotiated.
